Ambassadorship

I have some great news to share with you all. I was selected to be an ambassador. Yes, you heard that correctly …. an Ambassadorship!

Last month, I was honored to be chosen as an ambassador for the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC). If you're not familiar with MSKTC, here's what you need to know: it's a national center operated by the American Institutes for Research® (AIR®) that takes complex health research and translates it into clear, practical information that real people can actually use. Their focus is supporting individuals living with spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and burn injury along with the families, caregivers, and professionals walking alongside them.

This is exactly the kind of work that fuels everything I do. Connecting people to the right resources at the right time. Breaking down barriers between research and the communities that need it most. That's systems building, and that's why this ambassadorship is such a natural fit.

As part of this role, I will be sharing free, research-based resources and helpful links right here on this website. That means you (individuals, families, caregivers, and organizations) will have a direct line to reliable, quality information when you need it. No searching. No guessing. Just access.

Here's the scale of what stands behind these resources. Model Systems are specialized programs of care dedicated to spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and burn injury. These programs collect data, collaborate nationally, and conduct high-quality research aimed at improving long-term functional, vocational, cognitive, and quality-of-life outcomes.

Across the United States, there are currently 16 Traumatic Brain Injury Model System Centers, 18 Spinal Cord Injury Model System Centers, and 4 Burn Model System Centers, this is a nationwide network committed to advancing rehabilitation research and care.

That is serious infrastructure working for you!

So start exploring. Below you'll find resources on Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Burn Injury straight from MSKTC. Bookmark this page. Share it with someone who needs it. This is what access looks like.

All the best - Bobby

Congratulations Ambassador Bobby! You’re going to excel at this! It’s right up your alley. Although, you excel at everything you put you mind to. Either way, I’m excited to see where this leads you!
